Civil Service Commission

Purpose

The Civil Service Commission is an appointed committee that advises the City on compliance with Civil Service Codes. 

This committee also oversees aptitude testing of potential City employees, as written in the City's legislature.   All City positions are filled by candidates who have successfully completed the exam.  Tests are administered every two years.

Entry Level Service Worker Exam: May 11, 2019
Fire Lt. Promotional Exam: November 2019 (actual date TBD*)
Entry Level Clerk/Receptionist Exam: November 2019 (actual date TBD*)

Water/Wastewater Exam March 2018 (Good until Mar 2020)
Police Promotional Exams for Sergeant, Detective and Lieutenant Exam Nov. 2018 (Good until Nov 2020)
Fire Safety Inspector Exam July 2018 (Good until July 2020)
Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic Exam March 2018 (Good until March 2020)
Entry Level Police Exam March 2018 (Good until March 2020)
