Purpose
The Harrison Mayor's Community Fund (HMCF) is a charitable organization dedicated to helping those inneed of financial assistance in the greater Harrison community. HMCF assists citizens in a variety of
ways. With the assistance of Christ's Loving Hands (another charitable organization in the community)
HMCF provides grocery vouchers, food pantry items, Duke energy bill assistance, and occasionally
rent payments. During the holiday season, HMCF, together with the various local churches and
schools, provides assistance in the form of food, clothing, winter coats, and toys to hundreds of families.
Fundraising
HMCF fundraising activities throughout the year include an annual golf outing and fundraising booths at local festivals and activities planned by Harrison Recreation Commission. Other organizations and events also contribute to
HMCF, such as dine and donate events at local restaurants, bingo and electronic pull-
tab machines at the Yeager Benson Memorial American Legion Post 199. HMCF always accepts
donations. Contributions can be made by check and sent to: Harrison Mayor's Community Fund, PO Box
471, Harrison, OH 45030.
