About City of Harrison Police Department
The Harrison Police Department has the responsibility of preserving the peace, responding to law enforcement service requests and protecting life and property within the city limits. Police officers are available 24 hours a day, seven days per week to respond to calls for service, prevention of crimes, investigate criminal activity, apprehend suspects, investigate traffic accidents, and provide animal services. Officers conduct special investigations, crime analysis, effective records and evidence management and storage.
The Harrison Police Department seeks to improve relationships with the community through better communication and community policing. The department recognizes the diverse and unique contributions made by our businesses, residents and city employees in helping to provide a proactive approach to public safety.
Partnering with Schools
The department has built a strong relationship with the schools within the Harrison community. There are three school resource officers assigned to the elementary, junior and senior high schools.
Staff
The Police Department is the largest General Fund department in the City, employing 24 full time sworn officers and 2 Police Clerks.
