ORIGINAL POST JUNE 19, 2020
The Harrison City Council conducted a Public Hearing Tuesday, June 15, 2020 to discuss legislation that would permit "under-speed’," "low-speed" and "utility vehicles" to operate on Harrison roadways with speed limits less than 25 mph. Better known as the "golf cart" ordinance, the draft legislation would also require the vehicles to possess safety equipment such as headlights, brake lights, horns, rearview mirrors, etc.
The first opportunity for passage of the legislation is at the July 7, 7:30 p.m. Council meeting. However, it is expected that the draft legislation will get much review and discussion before a Council vote takes place on the measure. Residents can review the draft language, and if there are any questions or comments about the ordinance, they should contact Councilman Ryan Grubbs at (513) 609-7404.
