Harrison Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) Chairman Jerry Wilson has notified the City Building & Zoning Department that he will ask for a motion from the Board to table its only new business on the Dec. 22 meeting agenda until the Jan. 26 meeting. That agenda item deals with a Conditional Use request to conduct an adult group home in an R-4 residential zoning district at 517 Park Ave. The Dec. 22 meeting is scheduled to be conducted via Zoom video conferencing because of COVID-19 concerns.
The Chairman said he did not want to consider the item without giving residents the opportunity to interact in the discussion. By tabling the item until January, the Chairman said he will secure a larger, more conducive venue to facilitate in-person public participation, while still maintaining social distancing protocol. It will also allow residents time to send written comments regarding the proposal to the BZA in care of the Harrison Building & Zoning Department, 300 George St., Harrison, OH, 45030. More information about the location of the Jan. 26 in-person meeting will be published, soon.
