The Harrison Recreation Commission has set dates for many of the City's annual traditions in 2021.
The annual Easter celebration will be April 3 and will likely include modified versions of an Easter egg hunt and pictures with the Easter bunny. Other events include:
- Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks July 4, 2021
- City-wide Yard Sale Sept. 11, 2021
- Spooktacular Oct. 24, 2021
- Christmas Parade Dec. 4, 2021
"I'm optimistic that we can provide these opportunities in 2021," said Harrison Mayor Bill Neyer. "Our Commission volunteers are dedicated to finding new ways for us to safely celebrate."
The Recreation Commission will also plan a Summer Concert Series for these Tuesday evenings: June 1 and 15, and July 13 and 27.
Summer Fun, a six-week program for local youth, is tentatively scheduled for June 15 through July 29, 2021.
Harrison citizens are advised that all City events are subject to cancelations or modifications due to state or federal restrictions. The City calendar will be updated with more information as plans are made.
