The City of Harrison Police Department is preparing for the opening of new school buildings for Southwest Local Schools. HPD has identified the need for a utility vehicle that the school resource officer can drive while patrolling school grounds.
To purchase the vehicle, HPD has launched a fundraiser and has invited the community to be part of it. One way to do that is to visit 1860 Taproom and Bottleshop on Saturdays and purchase a pint or growler from The CommUNITY Tap Handle. The fundraiser takes place Saturdays throughout February, and 50 percent of sales from that tap will benefit HPD. The beer is called Hustler, a lager produced locally by Northern Row.
Donations can also be mailed or dropped off to the Harrison Police Department (311 Harrison Avenue, Harrison, OH 45030) Chief C.R. Lindsey. Checks should be made payable to "City of Harrison."
