The City of Harrison Senior Center is open to anyone in the area who is age 60 or better. Membership is only $5 and can be purchased Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Harrison Community Center (300 George Street).
“We have a lot of fun,” said Senior Center Director Jill French. “I wish more people would take advantage of it. We welcome new members.”
Recurring activities include bingo, crocheting, knitting, chair volleyball, euchre and other card games. While activities were canceled during the pandemic, French is starting to fill the calendar again. Field trips and guest speakers will be added, soon.
Lunch is served Monday through Friday at 11:30 for $1.50 cash. Cake is served once each month to celebrate recent birthdays.
Transportation is limited to Tuesdays and Fridays for bingo, which starts at 12:15 p.m. Daily service may resume at some point. Subscribe to the Senior Center Calendar for updates. For questions or to arrange transportation, call French at (513) 367-0649.
