DUKE ENERGY OFFERS SOLUTIONS FOR CUSTOMERS STRUGgLINg TO PAY UTILITIES
Duke Energy has compiled a list of resources for customers who are struggling to pay their natural gas and electric bills. This two-page document outlines the growing number of programs that can assist with housing and utility expenses.
513 Relief Bus Coming to Harrison Oct. 14, 2021
The Hamilton County Equity and Resources Mobile Tech Bus will be in Harrison Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Harrison Community Center (300 George Street). This brings Hamilton County Job and Family Services onsite assistance for rent and utility help, family support and child care, cash, food, Medicaid application assistance and workforce training. The Bus also includes COVID vaccinations administered by UC Health. A $100 Visa gift card will be issued to anyone receiving their first dose of the vaccine that day. MAYOR'S FUND SUPPORTS LOCAL FAMILIES IN NEED
The Harrison Mayor's Fund will review applications for holiday assistance in November. The Mayor's Fund traditionally partners with local churches and schools to provide assistance in the form of food, clothing, winter coats and toys to hundreds of families. Families who reside in the Southwest Local Schools District and demonstrate financial need may be eligible for assistance. More information about applying for assistance through the Mayor's Fund will be provided, soon.
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ISSUE MORE SMALL BUSINESS RELIEF
Hamilton County (Ohio) Commissioners are awarding $4.1 million in grants to eligible small businesses in a third round of funding using CARES Act dollars. Eligible small businesses located in Hamilton County can apply for up to $10,000. Applicants need three things to apply: a government-issued ID, a copy of filed 2019 and 2020 federal business tax returns, and proof that your business operates in Hamilton County.
