City residents are invited to bring grass clippings, brush and other yard waste Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The drop-off site is 510 Industrial Drive near the City garage and salt dome.
Lead Man Dave Perkins said there will be three workers who can help unload trucks and there is room for trailers as well.
Yard waste materials should be brought loose or contained in biodegradable bags. Acceptable yard waste includes
- Grass clippings
- Leaves
- Tree limbs
- Brush
- Pruned material
The City of Harrison hosts a yard waste drop off event the last Saturday of each month. If the last Saturday falls on a holiday weekend the date would change to the prior Saturday.
Perkins pointed out this event is only for yard waste. The City will not be able to collect electronics, shred paper or take other materials that day.
